Hi everyone, hope you’ve had a fantastic week. In this article, you will find useful information, tips and guidance around investing in property in the UK, and business. Here’s what I want to share this week:

‘Accidental Landlords’ and how I help them!

An accidental landlord can be summarised in a few ways, one of which is someone who didn’t buy a property with a view to letting but has done so because of a circumstance they have found themselves in. This may be a property that has been inherited or maybe even a former property that they own.

In many cases, busy professionals such as Dentists, Doctors, Lawyers, etc invest their money and purchase a buy-to-let property seen as they don’t trust pensions (and rightly so!) and also because their friends purchased a property and was told they would make £1,000 income from the property.

Unfortunately, no one told them, that more money now needs to be found to service the ongoing letting management costs and maintenance costs on top of servicing the mortgage itself and therefore the income is significantly lower than they initially thought it would be. In some cases, the property starts to become a liability as opposed to an asset, and in some cases, they will end up owning the property outright in 20 years, but unfortunately they don’t understand property and the power of leverage and compounding. They’ve simply done it because someone told them it was a great idea. And yes it is in fact difficult to lose money in property, unless you start experimenting in areas you don’t know about, or purchase abroad. However, the point here is, people miss out on scaling up their portfolio simply because they don’t have the knowledge around how this can be done, in a systemised simple method.

This is where I add value to individuals and busy professionals, but systematically building and scaling their portfolio over the next 10–20 years so they can always ensure their hard earned savings are geared up towards higher returns to then build towards a legacy for their family and the next generations.

Investors trust me due to my methodical and meticulous approach to each investment, along with the attention to detail I bring into the property refurbs. By focusing on building a long term relationship, we are always ensuring a bright, wealthy and happy future for everyone.

I hope this has been an interesting read. Let me know your thoughts and comments below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Have a phenomenal day and week ahead!

Thank you for reading.
